My name is Wendy I am a 34 yr old mother of 5 boys.  Over the last year and a half I have lost 98 pounds.  Now I am left with about 25 pounds of excess skin that just hangs, it is nasty and is causing health issues.  However my insurance company will not cover having it removed.  In their opion infections are not life threanthing and they wil not cover it.  I have tried writing the day time talk shows but have been ignored.  I have no where else to turn.  We had the money saved up for me to have the procedure done but than we got a big surprise....our youngest baby!  His name is Matthew and he is our miracle baby, I had my tubes tied in Dec 2006 after Ryan our "OOPPPSSS" baby was born.  In Feb 2007 we received a phone call from my husband sister telling us that she was in the hospital about to give birth and she did not want the baby.  I was there when Matthew came into the world and I could not imagine leaving this beautiful baby at the hospital for the state to find him a home.....so needless to say we decided that he was meant to be with us.  While this all was wonderful we quickly found out what the problems were going to be.  He was born addicted to Crack Cocaine and was borns at least 7 weeks premature.  She had used the entire pregnancy and never saw a doctor.  Matthew spent the first 5 1/2 weeks of his life in the NICU fighting and he won that battle!!!!  Today he is a chubby happy pretty darn healthy baby boy, we still see lots of doctors for problems that he will always have but all in all he turned out pretty good.  We have had alot of expenses that have come along with this situation when he was 9 week sold his birth mother showed up at our house high and demanded her baby back.  So we spent every penny that we had saved and borrowed the rest of what we needed to go through the legal system and get legal custody and than legal adoption of Matthew so that we never had to worry about her hurting him again.  It cost us over $10,000.  While I would never change any of the decisions that we made it did make doing somethings that we had planned a bit harder.  And my wish and hopes to have my excess skin removed was one of them.  I hate to sound so selfish but I worked so hard to lose the weight and now I just want to proud of what I see in the mirror.  So many people said we would be rewarded for all the good we did for Matthew and I am hoping that maybe someone out there can be my hero and help.  I am trying to raise enough money to have the procedure done which cost $6,5000 I am asking anyone and everyone to help every penny that I can raise will help so no donation is too small.  Please help me help myself.  Thank you for any help you may be able to offer.  I have a pay pal account that money can be sent to so that you know I am for real.
